• Carry out the synthesis and purification of small-molecule and polymeric materials on the multigram to kilogram scale, using existing synthetic procedures developed by Verdox chemists
• Use and maintain Verdox’s multi-liter reactors for the safe and reliable scale-up of synthetic reactions
• Working closely with chemists and scientists, iterate on existing synthetic procedures to identify optimal reaction conditions

• BS/BA in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent), with minimum ten years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated experience executing multigram to kilogram scale synthesis safely
• Comfortable with varied purification techniques including large scale purification
• Experience with polymer synthesis, purification and physical characterization is a plus
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in an evolutionary and dynamic startup environment
