Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Neuro ICU setting, managing a patient population that includes general ICU, post-stroke, CRRT, sepsis, DKA, post-code, and respiratory distress cases
• Perform neuro-specific care including management of external drains, biopsies, and ventriculostomy devices
• Initiate and titrate sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, and vasoactive medications; manage ETT/ventilator patients with respiratory therapy support
• Conduct NIHSS assessments, dysphagia screenings, and strong neurological assessments; interpret telemetry and 12-lead EKGs - travelers are required to pass telemetry competency tests
• Float within skillset as first to float; may float to a sister campus with a minimum 2-hour notice, or mid-shift within the same campus
• This is a teaching environment; may involve precepting students and new hires

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 1 full year of ICU experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Current active compact RN license required
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - must be attached upon submittal
• Recent Epic EMR experience required (checkoff class will be required upon start)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation skills required
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience with CRRT
• tPA administration and post-tPA assessments
• Massive transfusion protocol experience (Belmont device)
• Adaptable, resilient, and collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills

• Expected 36 hours per week with the possibility of 48-hour weeks upon request; overtime may be available on applicable contract types
