Community Manager, J Rivelle (Lease-up)

Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed-use real estate investments through acquisition, development, construction, and property management services. We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to lead operations at J Rivelle, a brand-new luxury lease-up community in Arlington, Virginia. J Rivelle is a 442-unit, 27-story mixed-use luxury high-rise located at the foot of the iconic Key Bridge, connecting Northern Virginia and Georgetown in Washington, D.C. The community features luxury residences, premium amenities, and breathtaking views of the Potomac River and the nation's capital. Salary: $115,000-$125,000. The Community Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and leasing performance of the community. This role will lead the onsite team, drive occupancy and resident satisfaction, oversee daily operations, and help ensure the successful execution of lease-up activities. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop onsite team members to achieve operational and financial goals Recruit, hire, train, and manage leasing, maintenance, and office staff Oversee all day-to-day operations of the community Drive leasing performance, occupancy growth, and resident retention initiatives Monitor revenue, collections, delinquency, and financial performance Partner with regional leadership to develop and execute community strategies Ensure an exceptional experience for residents and prospective residents Conduct regular property inspections and maintain community standards Review and approve invoices while monitoring operating expenses Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting Resolve escalated resident concerns in a timely and professional manner Audit lease files and ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations Manage collection efforts and eviction processes when necessary Respond to emergency situations and coordinate appropriate action plans Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2-3 years of experience as a Community Manager within multifamily property management Previous lease‑up experience as a Community Manager Proven success leading onsite teams and managing apartment community operations Experience driving occupancy, resident retention, and financial performance Strong knowledge of leasing, collections, resident relations, and property management operations Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a Class A or luxury multifamily community Experience managing communities with 300+ units Local market knowledge or experience operating within a competitive urban rental market Why Join Jefferson Apartment Group?
