This role supports financial, accounting, data management, and reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely insurance program analysis and compliance.This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE and is eligible for Hybrid work after a period of in‑office training. This position is NOT eligible for employer visa sponsorship.What Will You Do?Analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial and insurance data from multiple sourcesPrepare working papers, schedules, and financial or statutory reports for assigned programsProcess funding and loss payment requests and maintain cash controls, reconciliations, and intercompany settlementsCoordinate daily, monthly, and year‑end financial and program information between operating locations and the Omaha officeSupport maintenance and accuracy of Financial Database systems in coordination with IT and FinanceAssist with calculating supplemental reserves and IBNR allocations according to guidelinesDevelop and maintain spreadsheet and database tools to support reporting and processing needsCompile data and prepare reports for management, regulators, auditors, and other internal partnersStay current on insurance accounting and financial reporting practicesRespond to internal and external audit inquiries related to financial data and controlsWhat are we looking for?Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or a related fieldOne or more years of work experienceKnowledge of general accounting principlesPersonal computer proficiency and experience with basic applications such as Excel and WordPreferred Knowledge:Life or property casualty insurance accounting experienceKnowledge of financial reportingFamiliarity with company and department practices and proceduresKnowledge of statutory accounting principlesKnowledge of Microsoft AccessWho Would Excel in This Role?Someone who communicates clearly and professionally and enjoys working with a variety of teams and stakeholdersA detail‑oriented individual who takes pride in producing accurate, high‑quality workAn organized self‑starter who can manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt as needs evolveA collaborative teammate who is also comfortable working independently when neededA curious, analytical thinker who enjoys solving problems and understanding the story behind the dataA dependable professional who is flexible during peak periods and supports team successA trusted team member who handles sensitive information with care and discretionA motivated analyst who enjoys compiling, reviewing, and interpreting financial information to support informed decision‑makingWe want you to be involved!
