Physician Assistant

Market leading healthcare organization looking for a Bilingual Physician Assistant for a role in Kissimmee, FL area. Key Responsibilities Interviews, examines, and diagnoses patients during routine check-ups and for injuries and illnesses. Orders appropriate diagnostic tests, interprets results, and communicates appropriate treatment options to patients. May refer the patient to a medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. Reviews and maintains patients' records and medical histories in a timely fashion and records progress. May perform minor surgical procedures such as wound care, suturing, joint aspirations and injections, and administering immunizations. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions. Discusses potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensures that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing. Provides education and counseling to patients and their families that may improve their health or help treat the health issue they are experiencing. Accurately records correct healthcare diagnoses to ensure correct billing. May order or assist in ordering medical supplies and equipment. Stays current on the latest medical research, practices, and procedures impacting family medicine. Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state health information privacy laws. Completes administrative assignments as requested by the Medical Director and partners with providers within the practice to ensure a collaborative environment. Actively participates in monthly provider team meetings and performance reviews with the Medical Director. Qualifications Fully state-licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA). Basic Life Support certification (BLS). Fully bilingual (English/Spanish). EMR experience. 1 year of experience as a PA working as a primary care provider in an outpatient office setting. Must have Value Based Care (VBC) experience. Value-based care focuses on population health, preventative medicine, data-driven interventions, and care coordination to keep patients healthy and out of the hospital. Daily practice includes proactive chronic disease management, comprehensive annual wellness visits (AWVs), transition of care (TOC) coordination, integrating social determinants of health (SDOH), multidisciplinary team-based care, and utilization of care-at-home and remote monitoring (RPM). Preferred Qualifications eClinicalWorks experience. Managed Care experience. Shift Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:30 pm. Job Type Full-time, Permanent.
