Adult Community Living Arrangements (CLAs) Our Adult Community Living Arrangements (CLAs) are DDS-licensed homes in the community that provide long-term support for adults, age 18 and older, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These homes are designed to meet each individual’s unique needs, while ensuring consistent assistance and supervision. Professional staff provide 24/7 support, helping adults build skills related to personal care, meal preparation, household responsibilities, healthcare coordination, money management and social competence. This program also emphasizes community integration, including participation in recreational activities, volunteer opportunities and other community-based experiences. Families and guardians are actively involved in the treatment process, and services are coordinated with DDS and clinical providers as appropriate. At Devereux Connecticut, our goal is to support long-term stability, personal growth and meaningful community connection for the individuals we serve. This three-bed program provides a safe, supportive and structured environment where individuals can receive enhanced supervision, targeted skill-building assistance and individualized planning. The focus is on stabilization, assessment and the development of a clear transition plan aligned with DDS recommendations and next-step placement needs.
