Project Manager

This is a Residential Project Manager position that can be based anywhere in Los Angeles CountyPosition OverviewThe Project Manager serves as the operational hub for a high-volume portfolio of residential construction projects. This role owns the full picture across all active jobs, including client communication, job progression, scheduling alignment, and overall project outcomes.Rather than managing one job at a time, this position operates at a macro level across the entire production pipeline. The Project Manager ensures every project has a clear next step, every client is informed, and no work stalls without resolution. While field execution and subcontractor management are handled by dedicated teams, this role is ultimately responsible for keeping projects moving, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring consistent delivery across all active work.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn client communication across all active projects, ensuring clients are consistently informed, supported, and never left without clarity on project status or next steps.Initiate client relationships with a structured onboarding call, setting expectations and establishing a high-touch experience from day one.Provide proactive updates at key milestones, follow up after field activity, and address questions or concerns before they escalate.Drive project progression across the full portfolio, ensuring every job has defined next steps, timelines, and accountable owners.Coordinate job sequencing and scheduling with internal teams to ensure projects are staged, started, and completed efficiently.Identify stalled jobs, scheduling gaps, or resource constraints early and take action to keep work moving forward.Maintain accurate, real-time project data and status tracking within internal systems.Monitor project financial performance, including gross margin, and escalate risks related to scope, timing, or cost.Serve as the central coordination point between project management, field leadership, subcontractors, and administrative teams.Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure readiness for job start, timely billing, and consistent subcontractor coordination.Coordinate subcontractor schedules, expectations, and scope clarity to ensure smooth execution and minimal disruption.Act as the escalation point for subcontractor-related issues, maintaining firm and professional communication while protecting company interests.Represent the company in client-facing situations requiring senior presence, including complex issues or milestone events.QualificationsProven experience managing residential construction projects in environments involving concrete, masonry, hardscape, or similar trade-driven work.Background in general contracting, roofing, landscaping, remodeling, or a related high-volume specialty trade.Experience managing multiple active projects simultaneously while coordinating subcontractors and maintaining client relationships.Strong understanding of construction flow, sequencing, and field coordination without requiring full plan-based project management.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable driving communication, making decisions, and maintaining accountability across multiple stakeholders.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and ability to manage a large workload without losing visibility.Confident and professional communicator who can navigate subcontractor dynamics and client expectations with clarity and control.Self-directed, proactive, and capable of identifying and solving problems without constant oversight.Must be local to the Greater Los Angeles area and comfortable operating in a hybrid role with occasional field presence.BenefitsCompetitive base salary of $75,000 to $95,000, based on experienceFull-time, stable opportunity within a high-volume residential construction operationHybrid work structure with field exposure as neededHigh-impact role with direct ownership of project flow and client experienceOpportunity for growth within a specialized construction business focused on quality and execution
