HVAC Technician

Pay Rate: $30.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shift

Sign On Bonus: $2,000 hire on bonus is for new hires and rehires that are returning after 5 years or more. The bonus will be paid out in equal $333/$334 portions after successfully completing 3 months, 6 months and 9 months of employment with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all HVAC systems

Assist with HVAC installations

Perform preventive maintenance procedures

Maintain water treatment program

Repair kitchen equipment and appliances

Keep records, logs and the like

Monitor temperatures and set points

Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities

Required Knowledge and Certification:

2 years vocational training in HVAC or 5 years on-the-job equivalent experience

HVAC and Refrigerant certification

Preferred:

Class C Chief Boiler License

Required Skills:

Accurate and detail-oriented

Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Preferred Skills:

Proven basic computer skills including knowledge of DX, DDC systems

Required Abilities:

Ability to work fast and efficiently

Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment

Ability to maintain high confidentiality

Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner

Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hours

Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel

Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionally

Must be able to climb a ladder

Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds regularly

Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions

Must have good eye hand coordination

Working Environment

Work is performed throughout the property (indoors and outdoors) and may include excessive noise, such as power tools; dust and fumes from paints, varnishes, stains and the like; flashing lights; frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke

Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters and inclement weather

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
