Controller

Keenan Marina is seeking a knowledgeable, hands-on Controller to lead the financial operations of a growing, multi-location Marina. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic financial oversight and day-to-day accounting leadership in a dynamic, seasonal business environment. What You'll Do Manage accounting operations across multiple locations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain an accurate general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial accuracy Ensure proper revenue recording across various operating lines Supervise an Office Manager responsible for payroll and administrative functions Review payroll for compliance with federal and Michigan regulations Assist leadership with annual budgeting and forecasting Monitor financial performance by location and department Oversee sales tax reporting and regulatory compliance Coordinate with external accountants for year-end reporting and tax preparation Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience Full-cycle accounting experience in a small or mid-sized business Experience supervising accounting or administrative staff preferred Multi-location or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage, or similar Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability High attention to detail and the ability to work independently What We Offer Growing, multi-location business environment with a diverse mix of operations.
