Facility Worker

Northern State University is seeking a self‑motivated individual to join our facilities team as a Night Custodian in the Barnett Center. Full‑time position working days, 3 pm–11 pm Monday‑Friday. The Night Custodian will be assigned general custodial duties in the Barnett Center and the new stadium, including cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, emptying garbage, snow shoveling, and lifting supplies. Responsibilities Cleaning bathrooms Mopping floors Emptying garbage Snow shoveling Operating commercial cleaning equipment Lifting supplies up to 50 lbs Climbing ladders and stairs Working with the public Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs and work with various cleaning and chemical products Climb ladders and stairs, use step ladders Operate cleaning equipment safely Follow oral and written directions Deal courteously with the public Work outdoors occasionally Basic knowledge of custodial and maintenance duties Knowledge of security procedures Benefits Full benefits package, including excellent medical insurance, 11 paid holidays and three weeks’ vacation to start.
