Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher

Walker Concrete is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher (CSR/Dispatcher) for their central dispatch office located in Stockbridge, Georgia. The company is a longstanding and large concrete supplier in the Metro Atlanta area, operating multiple batch plants with locations in Tyrone, Griffin, Jackson, Locust Grove, Palmetto, Conley, LaGrange, Barnesville and Newnan. Responsibilities and Duties The role primarily involves extensive phone and computer use to interact with customers. Key duties include: Answering inbound calls for new orders and updates Contacting customers proactively to gather information or resolve issues Processing prepaid orders Collaborating with the internal sales team to adjust projects as needed Managing opening and closing office responsibilities Required Skills Candidates must have: Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute Computer proficiency Ability to sit for extended periods Technical knowledge of ready-mix concrete (training will be provided) Desired Characteristics Applicants should demonstrate: A positive attitude Strong work ethic Willingness to learn Team orientation Empathy towards customers Attention to detail, especially regarding order accuracy Minimum Requirements Must be 21 years or older High school diploma or GED Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests Benefits The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including: BCBS Health, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) plan with employer putting in 3% whether or not the employee participates Short and long-term disability plans Employer-paid life insurance and accidental death coverage Optional supplemental Aflac policies (employee paid) Paid holidays and time off Work Schedule The workweek is Monday through Saturday #J-18808-Ljbffr
