Human Resources Manager

Job Description This position serves as the Human Resources Leader for the plant and is responsible for all human resource functions for the location. This role acts as the primary HR business partner to the Plant Manager and Plant Leadership Team, administering HR practices and objectives to create business value through strategic workforce management, and advising on complex Team Member relations issues while collaborating with Operations to support Team Members. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Act as business partner to Plant Manager and provide support and guidance on key plant projects Attract, select, retain, assess, and train potential and current team members Support development of a team‑member oriented company culture that emphasizes safety, quality, throughput, continuous improvement, and high performance Support plant safety through initiatives, investigations, and training Drive high performance through work systems by providing support for training on technical and non‑technical skills and coaching team members Proactively develop processes for identifying and managing team‑member relations issues, working closely with Facility Leadership Team Investigate complaints and recommend remedies Assist with development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to align workforce with strategic goals Ensure compliance with employment law Organize and conduct new hire orientations Process and administer personnel actions within Human Resource and Payroll Information Systems Maintain accurate data following system processes Develop and administer performance management Drive strategic and tactical planning in organizational development, culture, and capability development Develop, improve, and administer comprehensive training programs to accomplish facility objectives Build strong employee relationships through proactive communication, consistent support, and a focus on a productive work environment Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Master’s Degree preferred SPHR/PHR certification and/or SHRM‑CP/SCP desired Minimum five years’ experience as HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment Strong business and financial acumen Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with others Build high‑performance and effective teams Plan and organize around multiple competing priorities Strong analytical skills using metrics for sound decisions Process improvement mindset and strong communication skills (written and verbal) Microsoft Office Suite skills Working Conditions and Physical Demands Accurately observe correct paths of travel and areas for product placement Communicate and exchange information with teammates Operate office equipment including desktop computers, handheld devices, photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, voicemail systems Normally work 8‑hour shift, may work more hours as needed Sit 5–6 hours a day Lift up to 30 lbs. on occasions Sit, stand, stoop, squat, climb, reach, grasp, grip, carry, and maneuver around office and production floor Work on manufacturing production floor and wear required safety equipment Perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodation Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000, plus bonus and benefits. Individual pay within the range depends on job‑related skills, experience, and education.
