Lead Information Assurance Specialist

Salary: $135,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• I require candidates to possess a high school diploma and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or comparable expertise in the field. A current TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. Additionally, I expect candidates to hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, CISM, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCIG, GICSP, or GSLC. A strong comprehension of Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflow tools such as eMASS or Xacta is essential, along with a solid working knowledge of programs operating within AFSCI network rules and guidelines. Candidates should have experience in network management tools, network engineering principles, and network analysis. An expert understanding of the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process, as well as current computer security requirements and compliance, is crucial. I also look for an ability to maintain System Security and Risk Mitigation plans, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Information Assurance Engineer, I will entrust you with the design, testing, and implementation of advanced secure operating systems, networks, and database products. You will conduct risk assessments and provide insightful recommendations for application design. Your role will involve tackling various computer security matters, including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Additionally, you will utilize encryption technologies and carry out penetration and vulnerability analyses of diverse security technologies while engaging in IT security research.
• You will also be responsible for these specific tasks:
• Providing support for all vulnerability and compliance scan tool applications and modules (both pre-built and customized).
• Developing workflows and customizing, implementing, and sustaining the mentioned applications.
• Updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and offering informal training to government personnel on existing and new technologies.
• Delivering process and operations guides while providing technical support in daily operations and evaluating existing security tools and products.
• Maintaining operational oversight of Command-level and privileged user accounts for the Enterprise.
• Preparing for and conducting customer briefings, participating in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), and providing status reports on cybersecurity activities.
• Crafting information systems security studies and reports addressing concerns in information system security, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity mandates.
• Monitoring and reporting the status of security measures in accordance with IC Directives and AFSCI policy.
• Creating, editing, and reviewing security accreditation and authorization packages for the AFSCI Enterprise and adhering to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
• Conducting security tests and evaluations and tracking results for the appropriate government entity.
