General Information:

Position Classification: $50,000 - $90,000

EOE, Drug Free Workplace

Normal Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday 

(Workdays and hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the company)

Primary Role

The Assistant Project Manager role is to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical contracting projects. This position assists the Project Manager with scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients to keep projects on track, on budget, and compliant with company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking project milestones, expediting materials and equipment, coordinating inspections, and helping manage logistics related to deliveries and installation activities. The role also involves maintaining accurate project documentation, preparing status reports, and identifying potential issues or delays to support timely resolutions. The Assistant Project Manager collaborates closely with field personnel and office staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Project Setup and Administration

· Aid in the initial setting up of projects using Procore and assist in organizing essential project documents.

Submittals and Document Management

· Support timely and accurate submittal management, ensuring all documentation is correct and accessible.

Permitting and Compliance

· Assist with applying and obtaining necessary permits for work as well as scheduling inspections.

Project Milestones and Equipment Coordination

· Assist in tracking/logging equipment needs and lead times

Commissioning and Start Up Documentation

· Assist with preparing documentation for commissioning and equipment start up.

Closeout and Warranty Management

· Assist with managing project closeout processes and warranty documentation

Teamwork

• Demonstrate and promote cooperation and teamwork throughout the Company.
• Provide backup support for other team members.
• Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.
• Improve your personal performance on a continual basis. Suggest training programs or other opportunities for improvement to your Supervisor as they apply.

Safety

• Use safe work practices and promote safe practices.
• Complete required safety training.

• Comply with all safety requirements set forth by Comfort Systems and OSHA
