Location(s): Dubuque, Baraboo, Madison, or Milwaukee Type: Full‑Time | Salaried | Hybrid Eligible | Flex Time Eligible MSA is seeking to add a Total Rewards Analyst to our HR Team. This role plays a critical part in shaping and evolving MSA’s Total Rewards strategy. While the primary focus is on compensation analysis, administration, and program development, this role also contributes to the broader Total Rewards ecosystem by evaluating programs, identifying opportunities, and providing data-driven recommendations that enhance our overall employee value proposition. Brings a strong compensation foundation, with the ability to zoom out and assess Total Rewards programs holistically. Naturally questions assumptions and validates decisions with data and market insights. Translates complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders. Responsibilities Compensation Administer and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, job architecture, and pay ranges aligned with Total Rewards strategy. Lead data preparation, validation, and analysis for the annual compensation cycle (merit, market adjustments). Conduct internal equity and market analyses to support consistent, competitive pay decisions. Provide analytical support and recommendations for off‑cycle compensation requests and pay decisions. Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate compensation changes and program impacts. Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR leaders by delivering compensation insights and structured recommendations. Collaborate with external compensation consultants to interpret market data and inform salary grade structures. Incentives & Total Rewards Reporting Support evaluation and continuous improvement of MSA’s Total Rewards programs through data and benchmarking. Develop Total Rewards reporting and statements that quantify and communicate program value for leadership use. Benefits Analysis Administer incentive programs, including bonus calculations, audits, and reporting. Analyze benefits utilization, cost trends, and plan performance to identify improvement opportunities. Conduct financial and impact analyses for new or enhanced benefit offerings. Support benefits administration processes, including open enrollment setup and testing. Partner with vendors and brokers to evaluate performance and resolve complex issues. Provide informed recommendations that align benefits offerings with overall Total Rewards strategy. Compliance & Data Integrity Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA). Partner with HRIS to maintain data accuracy and optimize compensation and benefits system functionality. Develop recurring and ad‑hoc reports that support executive and HR decision‑making. Qualifications What you bring Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience supporting compensation, benefits, HR analytics, or Total Rewards programs. Strong expertise in compensation practices (market pricing, salary structures, pay equity). Working knowledge of benefits programs, with the ability to analyze and recommend improvements. CCP or CBP preferred This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position. Pay & Benefits Compensation Range: $79,081–$126,500 (commensurate with experience) Flex Time: Work 42 hours this week? Have 2 hours added to your Flex Time balance to use as time off in the future. ESOP: Receive MSA stock shares annually, at no cost to the employee.
