Continuing education opportunities to enhance your professional development. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA). Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (required). Responsibilities Review requisitions for physical therapy and evaluate patient’s physical condition and needs. Establish PT treatment goals based on initial assessments. Develop and implement a program of corrective exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Determine proper equipment usage and instruct patients in appropriate programs. Teach patients, staff members, and student affiliates in passive, active assistive, or resisted exercises, ambulation, and other movements to articulate rehabilitation principles. Evaluate clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care. Enhance professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature, workshops, and in‑service meetings. Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and other required reports. Collaborate with support personnel while adhering to legal standards and ethical guidelines. Establish a PT Plan of Care based on functional deficits and patient goals. Perform objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional tasks. Administer therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, iontophoresis, electrical stimulation) as appropriate. Provide corrective exercise or manual techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement. Document and charge daily in the Therapy EMR. Communicate with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations. Provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with regulatory agency guidelines. Utilize standardized outcome measures in a uniform manner. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $36.74 per hour – $63.19 per hour. The actual compensation offered will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
