As a Barista, you will create the Nisqually Grounds Experience for our guests by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guest service, have excellent guest service skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.QualificationsRequired Skills and Knowledge:6 months guest service experienceAbility to effectively communicate.Basic math skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Passion for providing extraordinary service.Ability to work effectively within a team.Excellent written communication skillsAbility to obtain a Food Handlers PermitPass NRWC pre-employment testing.Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.Preferred Skills and Knowledge:1 year guest service experience in the Hospitality Industry3 months experience with a P.O.S. (Point of Sale) System6-months Barista experiencePhysical Requirements:Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis.Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.Essential Functions of the Job:Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.Accurately Input all orders into the POS System Answering guests' questions about products and services and providing recommendations based on guests needs.Process guest orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.If applicable delivers food orders promptlyProvide excellent guest service, resolving any customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.Prepare and serve a variety of coffees and beverages according to the Nisqually Grounds recipes and standards.Assist with food preparation, including to but no limited to heating and serving pre- made food items.Ensure strict food storage procedures are followed to prevent spoilage and contamination.Ensure that all products utilized in the FOH are labeled with appropriate dates and pricing.Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate service.Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to all sanitation and safety control policies.Maintain a clean area.Stock grab and go display cases utilizing FIFO (First in- First out)Clean tables after guests have left.Accurately reconcile cash drawersPerform other duties as assigned.Native American Hiring PreferenceRev: 7/1/2024
