Facility: This medical center is part of a nationally recognized health system offering modern facilities and strong subspecialty support. The facility features a renovated, state-of-the-art Level-III NICU with 10 beds and a 20-bed newborn unit, providing comprehensive neonatal care with approximately 1,000 annual births. Opportunity: Physician - Neonatology Job Details: • Provide neonatology coverage for a Level-III NICU with 10 beds and approximately 1,000 annual births • Deliver care for newborns in a 20-bed newborn unit with daily support from Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) • Participate in a 3-physician neonatal staffing model ensuring collaborative clinical coverage • Perform daily rounding in NICU and newborn settings • Provide clinical oversight and management of critically ill and premature infants • Support admissions, stabilization, and ongoing management of neonatal patients • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, NNPs, and multidisciplinary care teams • Participate in home-based call coverage rotation for NICU responsibilities • Work within a flexible schedule structure supported by daytime APP/NNP coverage • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine • Georgia Medical License required (or willingness to obtain) • Neonatology training/fellowship and experience required • Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred • Permanent, full-time position requiring local residency • Not accepting locums or visa candidates Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
