Why This Opportunity Stands Out Strong Backlog of Projects Career Growth into Senior Leadership Direct Client Interaction and Business Impact Modern Survey Technology & Resources Collaborative Team Environment Long-Term Stability with Diverse Project Work What You'll Be Doing Manage land surveying projects from proposal through final delivery Oversee field crews, office staff, and CAD teams Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, contractors, and engineers Review boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and as-built surveys Ensure accuracy, quality control, and regulatory compliance Coordinate project priorities across multiple active assignments Mentor and develop survey personnel Support client growth and long-term business relationships What We're Looking For 5+ years of land surveying experience Prior experience managing surveying projects and personnel Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys Experience reviewing plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble, or related software experience Preferred Qualifications Professional Surveyor license (PLS, PSM, or equivalent) Virginia licensure or ability to obtain Virginia licensure Experience supporting transportation, commercial, municipal, or site development projects Existing industry relationships within the Hampton Roads market The Ideal Candidate You're more than a technical surveyor.
