Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (Information Systems)

Job Title

Major duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinates and works effectively with other facility support departments including but not limited to Facilities Management Service (FMS), Office of Information Technology (OTT), Sterile Processing Service (SPS), and Environmental Management Service (EMS).
• Manages and maintains medical servers and networks, diagnostic software, virtual platforms, and clinical applications software.
• Evaluates compatibility and adaptability of medical equipment and clinical systems to integrate with the electronic health record or other clinical systems.
• Documents all work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Uses knowledge of government contract procedures and documentation requirements to develop statements of work, sole source justifications, other applicable documentation and to oversee vendor work.
• Focuses on professional development in all areas of medical technology lifecycle management including technical skills.
• Complies with applicable standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Work Schedule is subject to change based on agency need.

Telework: Ad-hoc Telework available in accordance with Agency policy.
