Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT MR certification and Siemens MRI experience for a hospital-based imaging position supporting inpatient and outpatient services.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 438 staffed beds and average daily census of 60
• MRI unit supporting both inpatient and outpatient imaging services
• 4 MRI rooms with approximately 51 visits per day
• Primarily mid-shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• Occasional day or evening shift coverage may be required based on staffing needs; not scheduled past 9:30 PM
• No on-call, overnight, or weekend shifts required
• No floating within scope or to sister facilities required
• Siemens MRI scanners including 3T VIDA and 1.5T SOLA
• EPIC charting system used

Requirements

• ARRT MR and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
• Prior hospital-based MRI experience required
• Adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, and community hospital experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Siemens MRI experience required, including XA30 software experience (facility currently operates on XA60)
• Experience with Siemens XA platform preferred
• Experience supporting both inpatient and outpatient MRI workflows preferred
• Experience preparing outpatients for MRI procedures preferred
• IV insertion and IV skill competency preferred
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations on inpatient and outpatient populations
• Work alongside a collaborative MRI team including staff technologists, charge technologists, MRI Safety Officer, and RNs depending on shift
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service throughout the imaging process
• Follow department protocols and maintain compliance with hospital and MRI safety standards
• Comfortable working in a dynamic clinical setting with varying patient volumes and acuity levels
• Scrub color: any shade of blue
• No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
• RTO limited to 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of assignment
• Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break in service afterward
