This position is a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), working a hybrid schedule out of the Rolling Meadows, IL facility. What You Get To Do Sourcing and procuring specialized goods and services. Owning contractual management for the supplier. Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users. Prepare bid packages, conduct bidder conferences, and analyze and evaluate proposals. Negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administering resulting subcontracts. Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as the supplier's ability to support required delivery schedules. Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations. Manages the performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, including import/export regulations. Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded. Manage and develop strategic/key suppliers. Review and approve supplier payments as needed. Strong strategic, innovative, and critical thinking skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient knowledge in the MS Office suite, including MS Teams, OneNote, and Excel. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas, and building reports. The Staff Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist will additionally be responsible for providing subcontracting process and compliance requirements guidance to junior Subcontract Specialists, Supplier Management Teams, and Integrated Product Team Leads. They will provide subject matter expertise in all aspects of supplier and subcontract management. Works in the general direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Performs independently with minimal management oversight. #MPR Basic Qualifications For a Staff Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business management or related field, or a Master’s Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business management or related field Experience with Subcontracts, Procurement, Contracts or other related field US Citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance Preferred Qualifications For a Staff Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist Experience working competitive and/or non-competitive US-government procurements/subcontracts Experience with SAP or related business application software Experience with Subcontract negotiations Experience with compliance Experience managing international subcontracts Experience working Terms and Conditions exceptions Primary Level Salary Range: $139,700.00 - $209,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
