Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), Every Other Weekend and Holidays as needed. Floating required as needed.

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a medical/surgical telemetry unit, primarily focusing on observational care for respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, and palliative and end-of-life care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage and observe patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.
• Participate in rapid response and code situations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Active RN license must be in hand at submission.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Ability to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
