Staff Accountant | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $53,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Charlotte that are seeking Staff Accountants. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Support inventory costing and analysis, including variance explanations and standard cost updates.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation for financial reporting purposes.
• Assist with audit preparations by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles
• Experience with inventory management and reconciliation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• CMA or CPA certification in progress
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with inventory costing methodologies (e.g., standard costing, FIFO)
