Leadership Annual Giving Officer

Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of Annual Giving, the Leadership Annual Giving Officer will serve as an annual giving frontline fundraiser, with a specific focus on digital fundraising. The officer will work closely with the Executive Director, schools, and units to develop a strategic roadmap, set annual and long‑term fundraising goals, maintain and manage a personal portfolio of donors, and cultivate and solicit annual fund gifts. Approximately 50% of fundraising efforts will focus on the Chancellor’s Global Education Fund, while the remaining 50% will focus on the Carolina Fund, scholarships, and other priority initiatives. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 0‑2 years of experience, or a combination of related education and experience that meets the requirement. Experience nurturing and motivating development professionals to foster professional growth and exceed organizational goals. A progressive employment history that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility with sensitivity and sound judgment when dealing with staff and the public. Superb interpersonal relationship skills. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Demonstrated successful experience in annual giving or transferable experience. Ability to interact effectively in a comprehensive research university setting.
