The Sr. Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing and building a centralized data platform from the ground up that provides real-time visibility into project status, testing progress, certification program updates, and compliance data. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Python expertise, cloud infrastructure experience, and a proven ability to design scalable data platforms that integrate information from multiple sources into a unified ecosystem. The Sr. Data Platform Engineer role is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to work hybrid in Raleigh, NC.Responsibilities of the Sr. Data Platform Engineer:Design, develop, and maintain a centralized data platform that provides real-time status updates for certification and compliance programs.Architect and build scalable data pipelines, data services, and platform capabilities utilizing Python and cloud-native technologies.Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into a unified platform to support reporting, analytics, and operational visibility.Develop and maintain data models, APIs, and services that enable dashboards and front-end applications to access critical business and compliance information.Incorporate IPv6 testing automation data into existing certification workflows and reporting systems.Integrate FIPS testing results and related compliance data into the platform.Design and implement cloud-based data infrastructure solutions within AWS environments.Collaborate with engineering, testing, compliance, and program management teams to ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and visibility.Optimize platform performance, scalability, reliability, and data quality as the environment evolves.Establish best practices for data governance, platform architecture, monitoring, and system integration.Requirements of the Sr. Data Platform Engineer:6+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, software engineering, or a related field.Strong Python and React experience.Experience building data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, or enterprise data solutions from the ground up.Proven experience integrating and consolidating data from multiple data sources and systems.Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud infrastructure.Experience designing APIs, backend services, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architectures.Strong understanding of scalability, distributed systems, data modeling, and platform architecture.Experience with data visualization, reporting platforms, and analytics solutions is preferred.Experience supporting automated testing tools, certification programs, or compliance-related environments is preferred.Compensation for the Sr. Data Platform Engineer:$140,000 - $160,000Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday, and Sick Leave if Required by Law.Keywords: Sr. Data Platform Engineer, Data Engineering, Data Platform, Python, React, AWS, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Integration, Data Pipelines, ETL, ELT, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Platform Engineering, API Development, System Integration, Cloud Services, Data Architecture, Real-Time Reporting, Analytics, Compliance Data, FIPS, IPv6 Testing, Certification Programs, Scalable Systems, AWS Data ServicesThis job opens for applications on 09/17/2026.
