Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report variances generated from inventory purchases and usage.
• Reconciles inventory subledger to the general ledger monthly.
• Analyze inventory purchases and usage variances/ determine root cause.
• Inventory reconciliations.
• Review company-owned inventory COGS and recommend adjustments.
• Period cost and E&O reserve analysis.
• Physical inventory counts/ reconciliation.
• Performs quarterly physical inventory counts and coordinates counts observation by external audit firm.
• Supports preparation and submission of quarterly and annual audit and tax packs.
• Prepares quarterly variance explanations for income statement and balance sheet.
• Leads activities in the preparation of quarterly and annual surveys.
• Reviews and analyzes unbilled receivables.
• Assists, as required, in special projects to improve overall efficiency, eliminating process waste and improving company profitability.

Qualifications:

• Must be comfortable working 100% onsite
• Understanding of GAAP and corporate guidelines as they apply to accounting transactions.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and reports
• Familiar with Gov't accounting, FAR and CAS regulations a plus
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field with 10 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility over time
• Experience with Government Accounting
• Experience using Deltek CostPoint, TM1, and OneStream a plus
