Molecular Genetic Technologist II - Extraction

JOB SUMMARYThe Molecular Genetics Technologist II conducts high-complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. SHIFTSaturday - Wednesday 3am - 11:30am KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPerform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations. Troubleshoot assay performance and maintain laboratory equipment. Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly. Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies. Assist in training new employees as required. Execute other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor’s degree in scientific discipline or medical technology.2-4 years of relevant experience ORMaster’s degree with 0-2 years relevant experiencePreferredMB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP)COMPETENCIESContinuous improvement of knowledge and skills, sharing expertise.
