Role Description The Intake Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Montgomery, AL. This position is responsible for being the first point of contact for potential clients, answering calls and inquiries, gathering preliminary case information, and accurately documenting client details in the firm’s systems. The Intake Specialist schedules consultations, verifies basic insurance and contact information, and ensures smooth handoffs to attorneys and legal staff. Daily tasks include providing courteous customer service, maintaining confidentiality, following established intake procedures, and supporting the office with administrative duties related to new and existing client files. The role requires consistent professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries in a fast-paced legal environment. Qualifications Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and external contacts. Experience in Client Intake and Customer Service, including handling inquiries, gathering information, and managing expectations. Familiarity with Insurance concepts, such as basic policy details and claim information, or willingness to learn. Proficiency with office software, case management or CRM systems, and accurate data entry. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow legal and ethical standards in handling sensitive client information. Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Prior experience in a law firm, medical office, or other professional services environment is preferred.
