Job Title: Production Coordinator
Job Description
The Production Coordinator supports smooth inventory and production flow by managing production schedules, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping to ensure quality standards on the production line. This role combines hands-on work on the production floor with administrative responsibilities such as data entry into ERP systems. The Production Coordinator also provides support to the production supervisor, including acting as a backup when needed, to keep operations running efficiently across each shift.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily production schedules to support efficient production flow and meet operational targets.
Monitor inventory flow throughout the shift and ensure materials are available to support continuous production.
Work directly on production lines during the shift to support production activities and maintain consistent output.
Input production and inventory data accurately into SAP or other ERP systems for each shift and close out all required records at the end of the shift.
Maintain and update production documentation to reflect actual production, inventory movement, and schedule changes.
Support the production supervisor by assisting with coordination of line activities and serving as backup coverage when the supervisor is on leave or unavailable.
Collaborate closely with production team members to resolve issues that may impact production flow, quality, or schedule adherence.
Help uphold quality standards by following established procedures and reporting any deviations or concerns.
Communicate clearly with coworkers and leadership across shifts to ensure a smooth handoff of information and ongoing continuity of operations.
Demonstrate reliability by following through on commitments, completing tasks on time, and supporting team goals.
Essential Skills
Experience with production flow and production line operations.
Experience with production scheduling and schedule planning.
Ability to input and manage production and inventory data in SAP or other ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accurate documentation and data entry.
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and production needs.
Ability to multi-task and manage several responsibilities during a shift.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to treat people with respect and work effectively with all types of individuals.

Proven teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional production teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience supporting or backing up a production supervisor or lead.
Experience working with ERP systems beyond SAP is an asset.
Documenting production processes and maintaining production records.
Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or production setting.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite role in a production facility with a regular schedule of Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 2:45 a.m., with overtime often extending to 4:30 a.m. for an average of approximately 50 hours per week. The position includes paid breaks and an unpaid 30-minute lunch period. You will spend a significant portion of your time on the production floor working on the lines, as well as performing data entry and documentation tasks at workstations using SAP or other ERP systems. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, requiring close collaboration with coworkers and supervisors across all shifts, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
