Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Academic General Internal Medicine / Primary Care Physician to become a member of our esteemed academic practice located in downtown Boston.

About the Division of Internal Medicine

• Exceptional Healthcare: Our medical center is a comprehensive quaternary-care academic facility that supports a vast community referral network, catering to patients from all over New England.
• Community Focus: Our primary care practice serves approximately 40,000 patients from diverse backgrounds, including the nearby Chinatown area. We take pride in our commitment to caring for vulnerable and marginalized populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and various linguistic and racial minorities.
• Collaborative Care: Our multidisciplinary team promotes a collaborative approach to healthcare, involving advanced practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and administrative staff. Together, we provide comprehensive preventive care, urgent treatment for chronic and acute conditions, and referrals to specialists.
• Innovative Research: Our division is recognized for its excellence in health literacy and health equity research, featuring clinical faculty skilled in advanced data analytics, decision analysis, quality improvement, and patient safety. We engage in collaborations with colleagues throughout the medical center, Tufts University, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary caregiver for a panel of adult primary care patients.
• Engage in teaching medical and health professional students, precept internal medicine residents, and serve as an attending physician on inpatient general medicine or geriatrics services.
• Participate in professional development opportunities for clinician-educators and provide mentorship to aspiring clinician-investigators.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A strong passion for primary care and enthusiasm for working with a diverse patient population and clinical team to promote exemplary care models.
• Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine is mandatory.
• Additional training or expertise in geriatrics, LGBTQ+ health, or addiction medicine is advantageous but not required.
• A current medical license in Massachusetts is preferred.
• Bilingual (especially in Chinese) or multilingual skills are a plus.
