This opportunity is based on a Production Supervisor career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Job DutiesPromote safety in the workplace daily; lead and direct Safety Program on a team as defined on the respective area.Lead safety discussions with associates, audit associate safety practices during walk aroundAttendance – be present for scheduled shifts and additional management team meetings as necessaryRead, review, suggest improvement and follow issued production scheduleProvide on-the-job training for associates in all areas of their job dutiesMaintain housekeeping standards 5s by inspecting each line.Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cost efficiency and working environment in the department.Follow and Maintain department procedure and work instructions updating as necessaryMaintain compliance with QMS system; QA Scrap & First Piece ApprovalsReport all safety, human resources, quality, scrap and production issues to managerEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate degree, technical training, manufacturing coursework, or leadership development training is preferred.Experience RequirementsExperience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related industrial environment.Experience leading employees, coordinating production activities, or providing day-to-day direction to a production team.Knowledge of production processes, workplace safety, quality standards, and productivity expectations.Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to use basic computer systems, production tracking software, reports, and operational documentation.Ability to lead by example, hold team members accountable, and respond effectively to changing production priorities.3 years minimum of proven Press brake experience and automation a plusPreferred QualificationsTwo or more years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred.Previous supervisory, team lead, shift lead, or production leadership experience is strongly preferred.Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, production metrics, scheduling, or quality systems is beneficial.Experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehouse, engineering, or other operational departments is considered an asset.Individuals who are dependable, proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to motivate a diverse production team are well positioned for success as a Production Lead.Strong organizational, Leadership & administrative Skills.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods during the shift.Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments as required.Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 75lbs.Ability to safely work around production machinery, material handling equipment, noise, and other conditions common to manufacturing environments.Ability to remain active on the production floor while monitoring employees, equipment, safety, quality, and workflow.Ability to Stand, bend, and perform repetitive movements as required.Ability to use hand dexterity and perform tasks requiring manual coordination.Ability to see clearly and distinguish colors accurately.BenefitsCompetitive Weekly Pay for leaders who know how to keep a shift moving.Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Life Insurance and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.Leadership Opportunities that let you build manufacturing management experience while developing strong production teams.About UsAt Staffmark, we connect hardworking people with great companies, creating opportunities that make a lasting impact.
