Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Telemetry. The position provides care for patients in a neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry setting. Responsibilities include managing complex neurological conditions, supporting post-surgical neurology patients, and delivering care within a collaborative clinical environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and the position may include holiday coverage.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of telemetry experience; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; a compact nursing license in hand at submission; proficiency with Epic; ability to learn and provide care in a high-acuity neurological setting; experience with a 1:5 patient ratio preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurological nursing, post-neurosurgical care, stroke care, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, craniotomy care, chest tubes, noninvasive ventilation, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role supports patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses, including stroke, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. Clinical responsibilities may include care for post-surgical neurology patients, management of telemetry patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, chest tube management, and participation in designated stroke and thrombectomy-capable services.
