Director of Operations

Little Miner Taco Little Miner Taco is hiring a Director of Operations to lead our Brentwood, MD production kitchen and oversee food production company wide. This is a hands‑on leadership role with full ownership of kitchen operations, production standards, costs, staffing, vendors, and distribution. As Director of Operations, you'll be responsible for keeping our central production kitchen running efficiently while ensuring every Little Miner Taco location receives consistent, high-quality food. We're looking for an experienced operator who takes ownership, solves problems quickly, and knows how to lead a bilingual restaurant team. What You’ll Do Lead all day-to-day operations of the Brentwood production kitchen Oversee food production standards and consistency across LMT locations Manage ordering, preparation, and packing for other locations Coordinate and schedule food deliveries across the company Manage vendor relationships and purchasing Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and waste Create staff schedules and ensure appropriate kitchen coverage Maintain efficient production systems and operational standards What We’re Looking For 7+ years of relevant restaurant or kitchen operations experience Experience running kitchen operations, including people, budgets, and vendors English and Spanish is required Strong team leadership and staff management skills Experience managing food and labor costs Strong organizational and decision-making abilities Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure Proactive, ownership-driven approach to operations On-the-job training background preferred Schedule Full-time position Minimum 50 hours per week Additional flexibility required for operational coverage as needed Why You’ll Love Working Here Salary range of $65,000-$85,000 Health insurance Paid time off About Little Miner Taco Little Miner Taco is a modern taco concept with multiple locations and food trucks throughout the DMV area.
