HR Assistant – Payroll & Recruiting Support

Pay: $20–$25/hour Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support payroll, recruiting, and daily HR operations. This role will assist with APD Payroll, job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, job fairs, employee records, and general HR administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing and maintaining payroll using APD Payroll
• Post, update, and maintain job openings on Indeed and other recruiting platforms
• Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct initial phone interviews
• Assist with interview scheduling and candidate coordination
• Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting activities
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee and recruiting records
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR team
• Assist with onboarding, recruiting, and other HR projects as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative support
• Experience with APD Payroll preferred
• Comfortable using Indeed and online recruiting platforms
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Professional, friendly, and confident phone manner
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Previous recruiting, interviewing, or job fair experience is a plus
