Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and complex laboratory examinations-covering areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology-by adhering to established protocols.
• Examine results meticulously, resolve discrepancies, and ensure lab equipment undergoes preventative maintenance and calibration.
• Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for various analyses as needed.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, train newcomers or students, and contribute to maintaining quality assurance within the lab.
• Foster a clean, safe workspace while observing all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, and preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Clinical Laboratory Science Certification (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain active certification for the duration of employment.
