Accounting Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities General Accounting Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including oversight of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and aging reports to ensure timely collections and vendor payments. Analyze financial results, identify trends or anomalies, and provide actionable insights to Finance leadership. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies. Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance. Support ERP system enhancements, process automation, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests, preparing documentation, and responding to audit inquiries. Partner with Finance leadership to improve reporting accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency. Assist with tax reporting, compliance activities, and other regulatory filings as needed. Monitor evolving accounting guidance and support implementation of new accounting standards when applicable. Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing industry preferred. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial analysis. Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with OneStream or similar financial reporting and consolidation systems preferred. Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting is a plus. Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and translate financial information into actionable business insights. Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with process improvement, system implementations, and accounting automation initiatives is highly desirable.
