Payroll Manager

Job Summary

The Payroll Manager oversees accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, taxes, deductions, benefits, timekeeping, and payroll records. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and serves as the primary contact for payroll questions and issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll, timekeeping, and time-off systems.
• Process payroll, taxes, benefits, garnishments, deductions, direct deposits, and paychecks accurately and on time.
• Maintain payroll records and employee data and prepare payroll reports, W-2s, and required tax filings.
• Reconcile payroll and benefits accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, ERISA, ACA, and other applicable regulations.
• Handle payroll-related questions and work with HR, Finance, auditors, vendors, and benefit providers.
• Support new-hire onboarding, employee status changes, compensation updates, tuition reimbursement, and interim pay.
• Assist with 401(k), benefits, and payroll-related projects.
• Troubleshoot payroll and system issues and maintain accurate payroll processes.
• Stay current on payroll regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of payroll or accounting experience.
• Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Office.
• ADP and Business Central experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. xhyhwjd
