Registered Nurse (RN) - OR

Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular

Schedule: 12H Rotating (Day/Evening)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience with high competency in cardiovascular/open heart
• Large academic teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Prior travel experience required
• Must have general experience in various OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
• Participate in staff education and professional development activities.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.
• Requires reliable transportation as public transportation is not accessible in this area.
• Must explain all employment gaps over 90 days.
• Bi-weekly orientations are held on Monday.
