Human Resources Coordinator

This is a 4-month contract role covering an employee on leave, with a 5-day work schedule based in the downtown Houston area. Paid parking is included. Title: HR Coordinator (Recruiting Assistant) Summary: The HR Coordinator supports the full recruiting lifecycle end-to-end while helping to create a positive candidate experience. Responsibilities include onboarding, interview coordination, pre-employment processing, reporting, and general recruiting support. This role works closely with hiring managers, recruiters, and candidates, while also contributing to Talent and HR initiatives. The position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Resourcing. Duties: Support and coordinate recruitment activities such as screening, scheduling interviews, generating offers, onboarding, reporting, and tracking data. Oversee the pre-employment process by ensuring documentation, testing, and communication are completed between hiring managers, candidates, and recruiters. Escalate any issues when necessary to the Sr. Manager of Resourcing. Act as a liaison across HR, IT, Office Services, and Hiring Managers to ensure onboarding is smooth and completed on time. Facilitate and manage Day 1 orientation for new hires, partnering with other locations to maintain a consistent and engaging onboarding experience. Ensure recruiting data and reports are accurate and complete by auditing documentation and tracking tools regularly. Update documentation and processes as organizational changes, policy updates, or new systems are introduced. Maintain HR records and support administrative tasks in accordance with company procedures. Contribute to assigned Talent and HR projects. Assist the mobilization team with coordinating candidate or employee travel and expense activities. Administer and manage the referral bonus program. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across documentation, onboarding, recruiting, reporting, communications, and system data. Requirements: Workday experience is preferred. Experience working as a Recruiting Assistant; Weekly recruiting reports At least 2 years of HR department experience with a focus on reporting, administration, and/or analysis. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, ensure accuracy, and manage processes with precision. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel (dashboards, reports, formulas, VLOOKUPs, etc.). Knowledge of employment regulations and laws (such as EEO, FMLA, wage & hour, benefits, document retention) or willingness to learn. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment with accountability and accuracy. High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills, both written and verbal. Education: Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related professional experience required. Professional HR certification (such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
