This contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver focused, individualized care in a collaborative educational setting. The assignment begins immediately and extends through the end of the 2026-2027 school year, making it ideal for professionals seeking stability.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) License required
- Experience working in school settings is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of pediatric therapy approaches for high-needs students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Adaptability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to one student with high needs, ensuring all interventions are tailored to the student’s individualized education plan (IEP)
- Conduct thorough assessments and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Work closely with school staff and the student's family to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and participate in regular meetings as scheduled
- Uphold high standards of ethical practice and maintain professionalism at all times
This contract role requires just 30 minutes per week on campus, one day per week, offering unparalleled flexibility for your schedule.
