Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to lead and coordinate unit staffing, ensuring the effective implementation of clinical goals and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign, guide, educate, and supervise nursing and support personnel during your shift.
• Participate in or conduct performance evaluations for staff members.
• Assess daily patient care requirements and create and distribute care assignments, ensuring appropriate care for the patient population.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues impacting desired outcomes.
• Address patient care complaints and manage them through established protocols.
• Provide input on hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse.

Physical Demands

• Frequent verbal communication to convey information.
• Constant standing and walking required.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.
• Regular use of vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
• Frequent olfactory and auditory skills to detect odors and receive oral communication.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs and moving patients.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and other physical movements.
• Rarely required to crawl or run.

Licenses and Certifications

• Must hold a valid nursing license in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by a Compact State or the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Work Schedule

This position is a full-time role with a day shift schedule, requiring 36 hours per week.
