About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required; IV start and Telemetry required Must-Have: - Nurses will float between medical, surgical, oncology, and neuro, cardiology units. - Ratios: 1:5-6 for days and weekends, 1:6 for nights. - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus holiday rotation obligation. Description: RN MS/Tele Float position available. The role requires floating between various medical units as needed. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. Daily patient census will vary depending on the specific unit. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various services including physical therapy and pharmacy. Nurses must be proficient in essential skills, including central line care, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring. Special equipment use, such as lift devices and bladder scanners, will be trained on the job. Nurses will be responsible for managing and interpreting various medical conditions. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to various care settings. Weekend coverage is required as part of the scheduling commitment.
