Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Ensures quality services within facility standards, State, and Federal regulations.What You'll DoReceive and give report to management on resident status at the beginning and end of each shift and as neededNotify management of any changes in resident physical and/or mental statusProvide personal care to residents per individualized plan of careDocument all pertinent information regarding carePrepare residents for meals, assist to and from dining room, and help with meal setup and eatingAssist residents with toilet and incontinence careMake room checks and verify resident location as directedKeep residents' apartments neat and cleanPerform clinical procedures according to facility standards and scope of practice regulationsPerform vital signs, blood pressure, weights, and other trained proceduresComplete prevention and restorative care including ambulation, transferring, bathing, grooming, and all other Activities of Daily LivingMaintain knowledge of facility infection control proceduresAssist in turning, positioning, and repositioning residents as outlined in the service planParticipate in Interdisciplinary Team Process including documentation of care and attending care plan meetingsCommunicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, healthcare team members, and other disciplinesActively participate in facility's Quality Assurance ProgramReport elder maltreatment or abuse to Director of Health and Wellness, Executive Director, and/or StateMaintain education, compliance with regulations, and current knowledge of resident care practicesFollow facility emergency procedures including fire and disaster drillsMaintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policiesPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForCertification in Oklahoma as a CNASix months' experience in long-term care preferredMeet all health requirementsPass state-required fingerprinting and criminal background checkCompassion for and desire to work with the elderlySkilled in conflict resolution and active participation in resident care assessmentsDemonstrates leadership, communication, and coaching skillsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectivelyPleasant, professional, and personable mannerAbility to understand and communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, co-workers, and vendorsJoin Milestone to grow your skills, collaborate with a supportive team, and make a meaningful impact every day.Milestone is an equal opportunity employer.
