Junior members of the team enjoy considerable responsibility throughout the course of each deal, and work closely with the firm's mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and sponsors coverage groups as well as research teams. At the same time, as befits an entrepreneurial firm like Canaccord Genuity, team members are encouraged to assume a number of diverse responsibilities, including proactively identifying new business opportunities.Responsibilities are as follows:Create presentation materialsPerform financial and valuation analysisPrepare marketing/offering documentation and materialsOversee due diligence processesWork with senior investment bankers to ensure efficient and successful execution of transactionsProvide support with new business development efforts, including: Identification and prioritization of potential clientsDevelopment and delivery of pitches to prospective clientsParticipation in marketing at appropriate industry eventsCoordinate with Equity Research, Capital Markets, Sales & Trading, and Legal team membersQualificationsIdeal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or financial services; M&A banking background is a plusCandidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)Excellent financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledgeExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsExceptional analytic aptitude and creativityDetail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work on a variety of transactions and projects simultaneouslyResourceful self-starter; able to work autonomouslyDemonstrated team playerDriven by your successA career at Canaccord Genuity means working for a client-centric organization with a global reach across 10 countries.
