Medical Assistant PositionPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Bethpage, NY (11714). This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organisation!Specific Duties:Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with medical tests.Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including recording patient information, test results, and treatment plans.Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, billing managing patient data.Sterilize medical instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary team.Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as necessary.Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of preferred experienceHigh school graduate or GED equivalentCurrent, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certificationCurrent BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre or theProven good communication and customer service skillsWhat skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart?Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skillProficiency in electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software.Knowledge of medical terminology requiredThe ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is requiredGood communication and customer service skills requiredPreferred Education.
