STIIIZY Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for executing all production processes while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and other applicable regulations. This position sets up, adjusts, operates, and repairs machinery in support of the production process. Key Responsibilities Perform production support duties that adhere to the production schedule, quality standards, and project specifications. Review blueprints, schematics, or other drawings/documentation to determine appropriate machine use; may check materials for compliance. Clean the workspace or perform routine maintenance after each production run. Support the manufacturing areas. Under the general direction of the lead technician and the overall direction of the manager, service manufacturing equipment. Document machine maintenance. Participate in Quality Working Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams. Conduct visual inspection of manufacturing equipment and changeovers. Troubleshoot equipment/process problems and resolve as quickly as possible. Monitor equipment for proper utilization. Manage hazardous waste in compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations; duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing, labeling, and on‑site transporting hazardous wastes. Utilize basic computer skills. Perform safety and cGMP inspections or observations. Ensure compliance with SOP/cGMP and cGMP requirements. Assist in training new employees. Fully participate in departmental projects and any applicable quality working teams. Technical Skills & Abilities Read and follow detailed written instructions; possess good verbal and written communication skills. Basic electronic theory knowledge. Manipulate controls, disassemble/assemble equipment using a variety of hand tools. Read and understand equipment manuals. Stand/walk for the majority of the shift and push/pull/lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds using hand dollies, pallet jacks, or other mechanical aids as necessary. Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative; enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment. Position is for second‑shift training, which may begin on the first shift before transferring to second shift. Work under direct supervision; handle basic issues and problems; refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff; possess a beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Preference for experience reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and interconnect drawings. Requirements Must be over 21 years of age. Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer. Able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 40 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
