About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac Telemetry experience required - Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias experience - Peripheral line care and management experience - PICC line management experience - Ability to titrate drips - Experience with PCU ratios of 1:5 - Floating required as needed Description: This position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week. The schedule consists of day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend rotation and holiday rotation are required. No call responsibilities are included. All travelers may be required to float to different campuses if needed. Ability to manage and interpret dysrhythmias is essential. Experience in cardiac telemetry and peripheral line care is required. PICC line management experience is necessary. Candidates must be familiar with titration of drips and managing PCU ratios. The unit provides comprehensive care to adults with a variety of medical conditions. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various healthcare services. Patients typically include those with primary diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, and renal disorders. All telemetry monitored beds will provide cardiac surveillance. Compliance with EKG exam requirements is mandatory. Modules will be required as part of orientation.
