This position is fully onsite at our Santa Ana office, allowing for real-time teamwork, immediate problem-solving, and a strong sense of community among our team members.Who You Are:A Senior Manager of Business Optimization position for Profit Recovery Partners is an individual with experience in consulting to develop and negotiate innovative expense reduction solutions for large enterprise clients in our Practice Groups. You have specific experience with cost optimization. This role will consult directly with CFOs and CIOs at some of the largest companies in North America and is responsible for managing expense reduction projects from the initial assessment of our client’s existing product usage, pricing, vendor contracts, and agreements all the way through expense reduction strategy development and vendor negotiations.You are an individual with a passion for the consulting industry.You have extensive knowledge in cost optimization and/or have held pricing or implementation roles in the relevant areas we consult.You utilize and are experienced in using out-of-the-box thinking to develop solutions for large enterprise clients.You have the ability to identify savings based on a customer’s infrastructure, vendor contracts, and pricing schedules, and you are able to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients to help them drive cost savings.If you are a subject matter expert in Telecommunications & Network cost optimization, we would love to hear from you!A telecommunications & technology cost optimization leader with deep experience managing enterprise voice, data, network, and carrier environments. This role combines operational oversight, contract negotiation, financial analysis, vendor management, and client strategy to reduce costs while improving service performance and reliability.Core areas of specialization include:Telecommunications Services – Reviewing and optimizing enterprise voice, data, internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, broadband, VoIP services across complex, multi-location environments.Network Cost Optimization – Identifying above-market pricing, duplicate circuits, outdated services, unused capacity, billing errors, and opportunities to simplify network architecture and reduce recurring costs.Vendor and Contract Negotiations – Leading carrier and service-provider negotiations, benchmarking pricing, reviewing commercial terms, managing renewals, securing credits, and improving service-level and contractual protections.Telecom Channel Expertise – Understanding how to operate effectively across the telecommunications channel, including direct carriers, agents, brokers, master agents, resellers, and managed service providers. Navigating channel relationships, pricing models, escalation paths, and partner dynamics to secure competitive outcomes for clients.Invoice, Inventory, and Usage Analysis – Analyzing telecom invoices, contracts, service inventories, utilization data, and location-level configurations to identify savings opportunities and validate that clients are paying for the correct services.Carrier and Provider Management – Managing relationships with major telecommunications providers, holding vendors accountable for service performance, resolving billing and operational issues, and supporting escalations.Implementation and Savings Realization – Managing projects from initial analysis through negotiation, service changes, implementation, billing validation, and confirmed savings.Strategic and Operational Leadership – Leading client engagements, project timelines, team execution, process improvement, and automation initiatives while partnering with IT, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders. This SME provides strategic and hands-on leadership across complex enterprise telecommunications environments, balancing service reliability, operational requirements, vendor accountability, and measurable financial results.What You Will Do:Collect, analyze, and present data that helps clients decide how best to reduce their expensesReview organizational processes/systems and uncover expense reduction opportunities for our clients by applying your industry expertise, business acumen, and analytical skillNegotiate, or consult with clients on how to negotiate, best-in-class pricing and business terms with vendors on new contracts and licensing agreementsMonitor, evaluate, and present on industry trends, vendor contract terms, and pricing changes Lead a team of 3-4 direct reports responsible for their own projects from start to finish and assisting with analysis, work product creation and client presentation supportContributes to P&L managementManage project timelines/milestones and action itemsDevelop and follow defined Practice Group and Company processes and proceduresDemonstrate creative thinking and ability to resolve complex and sensitive client issuesMaintain healthy and productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendor executivesPresent or assist in the presentation of savings and new project opportunities to clientsProvide creditability to sales process including developing the value propositions, attending strategic sales calls, and conducting ongoing sales trainingPrepare effective analysis and documentation regarding savings opportunities available to existing and prospective clientsOther duties as assignedWhat You Need:BA/BS Degree required with a minimum 7+ years of relevant experience with consulting and/or price negotiationDemonstrated experience and knowledge of cost optimizationProficiency with Microsoft Office suite of productsExpert ability with the analysis of data in MS ExcelPrior consulting experience is preferredExcellent communication and written skills with attention to detailsExceptional team player; work well with cross-functional teams & with diverse levels within the organizationSelf-motivated, disciplined, and highly organized; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentFlexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessarySense of urgency and timely deliveriesWho We Are:Profit Recovery Partners is a professional services firm that develops, implements and manages cost-reduction solutions for FORTUNE 1000 companies, law firms, private equity firms and private companies throughout North America.
