Workers Compensation Coordinator

Workers Comp Coordinator
The Workers Comp Coordinator works within a department to ensure WC patients are approved and scheduled for visits and procedures. This Coordinator also serves as the main communication between employers, insurance companies, and adjusters.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepares documents for data entry including billing/charge information
- Reviews schedules to prepare for WC patients scheduled
- Communicates between ancillary services and adjusters to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained
- Updates patient charts and process documentation of WC patient visits
- Prints daily reports as needed
- Assists with patient inquires and account follow-up as necessary
- Investigate potential issues with works for provide solutions
- Answers correspondence requests regarding pending approvals
- Processes and distributes correspondence
- Participates in account analysis
Educational Requirements:
- Must have High School diploma
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Computer Skills, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of EPIC is a plus
